Transmashholding makes equipment to replace Ukraine-made units

MOSCOW, Jan 31 (PRIME) – The Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant of Transmashholding, one of Russia’s biggest machine building firms, has launched production of units for diesel locomotives under an import substitution program to replace the parts previously produced by Ukraine-based companies, Transmashholding said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Now we plan to make a pre-production batch of 60 units,” the statement read.
